FFA Contestants Coming to TSU March 21

Approximately 9,000 Future Farmers of America will converge on Stephenville’s Tarleton State University campus next Thursday, March 21, for the 47th annual FFA Invitational Career Development Contests. Tarleton’s College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences will host the statewide invitational, organized by professor Ted Ford and Tarleton’s contest coordinator Michelle Damerau. Approximately 750 ag science teachers from over 450 Texas high schools will attend. Contests will take place on campus as well as at the Agricultural Center, Horticulture Center, Hunewell Ranch, Lone Star Arena, the National Guard Armory and Stephenville City Park. Several hundred Tarleton students will serve as group leaders and contest mentors.
