Stephenville Tax Office Closed Until Tuesday

Due to a COVID outbreak there, the tax office in Stephenville has closed. The outbreak, according to print sources, has affected the majority of the employees, who have tested positive for Covid-19. Now, the office will remain closed for the rest of this week. Plans are to reopen the tax office next Tuesday. It was planned to be closed on Monday anyway, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Meanwhile, the last day to pay your property taxes without a penalty is January 31st, and you can still do that by simply mailing a check to the tax office. Postmarks will be honored they say. You can also make your payments online, at www.texaspayments.com. By the way, the tax office in Dublin remains open and is unaffected by the closure in Stephenville.
