16th Case Of COVID-19 Discovered In Erath County Thursday

The city of STephenville has been notified of another positive COVID-19 test, as of Thursday. This makes the 16th person to test positive for COVID in Erath County since the outbreak began. In a prepared statement, City Manager Allen Barnes said, “Even though we are beginning to reopen our economy, it is critical that people maintain the vigilance we had during the shelter in home phase.” Mayor Doug Svien said, “Our prayers are with the victim of this virus and we wish the patient a speedy recovery.” Both the City Manager and the Mayor ask everyone to please continue to observe the CDC guidelines by keeping six feet apart, wash your hands frequently for at least 20 seconds, avoid touching your face, nose, or mouth, stay at home when you are sick, cover your cough and sneezes with a tissue and wash your hands immediately, disinfect surfaces frequently.
