Commencement Speaker Shares Wisdom

As commencement exercises begin at Tarleton State University’s Wisdom Gym, we remember that different students are driven to succeed by different things. For 22-year-old Cheyenne Holt, it was cancer. As a senior softball player at Dublin High School, she suffered a neck injury in a game against Stephenville. A scan revealed nodules on her thyroid. Treatment included radioactive iodine to fight the disease, and hard-earned wisdom is what she wants to share when she delivers the commencement address for the College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences at 4 p.m. Saturday. Graduation ceremonies begin today at 10am. Go to; for more information.
