School Board Security Talks Continue

The Empire-Tribune reports Stephenville’s school board of trustees continued discussion about campus security Monday, including a first reading of the Guardian Program, talk about metal detectors and other security measures. There are still concerns about how metal detectors would be manned, students bringing in electronic devices and the amount of time it would take to get through the detectors. The SISD board heard a first reading of the campus carry Guardian Program, designed to address protection in an active shooter situation prior to the arrival of law enforcement.
