At Monday’s meeting of the Stephenville ISD board of trustees, the Tarleton State University dressing room agreement was a topic of discussion, as estimates suggest it would cost the local school district a total of $655,000. Some residents in attendance suggested it’s not fiscally responsible– pointing out that while the city pays for it, they’re not going to be the only ones using it– and Tarleton can still rent it out. Board member Scott Osman said the problem is the capital investment in something they don’t own. Superintendent Matt Underwood said he believes they could come to some kind of agreement. In the end, no action was taken.
