Tarleton State University has received accreditation for its master’s degree program in clinical mental health training from the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs. The accreditation recognizes university training programs that meet the standards set by the profession and is among the highest commendations that an academic program can receive. CACREP is the training standard for counselors by the Institute of Medicine and the Veteran’s Administration. Tarleton Provost Dr. Karen Murray said this accreditation is a clear indication of our ability to provide the training they need to find the best jobs possible. Tarleton’s 60-hour program is available at the Stephenville campus, Fort Worth and Waco centers.
