It seemed like a foregone conclusion, but Staci King was unanimously selected as Stephenville’s next city secretary. After this week’s Council vote, she will officially begin her new role on July 10, just a few days before longtime city secretary Cindy Stafford retires. King said she is excited to take on the new position. The Dublin native graduated from Dublin High in 2002. She and her husband, Jason– the Dublin police chief– have three children. King began her career with the city while attending Tarleton State University. She began working for the Stephenville Police Department in 2002.
