A one-vehicle accident occurred on Hwy. 281 South about two-miles out of Stephenville as heavy rain approached the area Thursday morning. The vehicle struck a tree coming to rest in the bar ditch and the two occupants, a father and son, were transported by ambulance to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The accident victims names were not released.
The Red Cross is already on the ground helping families impacted by flooding. Shelters are open in Hood and Parker counties for anyone who needs a safe place to stay. All Red Cross services are free and available to everyone.
